Liner Battening

Helps Secure Liners to Tanks and Ponds

For some applications, the use of the battening or batten strips is required in order to the secure the liner to your tank or concrete block. These battens are typically constructed froma metal strip that is placed on top of the liner to help secure the liner to the wall. Once the batten in bolted and secured into place, liners are ready for liquids, waters or other materials to placed on top of the fabric.

Sized based on the length required along the top of your tank or around concrete inserts.

Batten Strips


Battening is most commonly used for tanks and cisterns where no other securing options are available.battening Battens may also be used in certain sections of concrete that are sticking up throughpond liners or battery storage bases. For added padding and support, hang geotextile padding may also be installed prior to the liner. This can help protect the liner from abrasion or penetration due to the rough nature of the concrete. Installation:

  1. Install Concrete Anchors to the Wall (spacing should be based on the the batten strip)

  2. Cut Holes in the Liner for Anchors to Poke Through

  3. Place the Batten Strips on Top of the Liner and Over the Anchors

  4. Secure the Batten in Place with Gaskets, Washers and Nuts

  5. If Required, Polyurethane Caulk/Concrete Sealant can be Applied the Top of the Liner
